National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) to sponsor 30 UAE Nationals from Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute ADVETI

NPCC recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) to sponsor UAE National students during their studies and provide employment opportunities with NPCC upon graduation. The MOU was signed by H.E. Hussain J. Al Nowais, Chairman of NPCC and H.E. Hussain Al Hammadi, Director General of The Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), in the presence of Mr. Aqeel A. Madhi, CEO of NPCC, and Eng. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of Support Services at ADVETI

The sponsorship program will provide a monthly grant to the selected Emirati youth from Secondary Technical Schools STS students; subsequently these students will be enrolled at ADVETI for a diploma degree in Engineering Maintenance and will join NPCC on graduation. This program will initially sponsor 30 students and the numbers will be increased in the coming years. NPCC is a strong supporter of Emiratizitation and offers excellent employment and career development opportunities to Emiratis, which is reflected in the number of Emiratis in its work force. This week, NPCC is participating in Tawdheef Career Fair and has received real interest in the technical and engineering opportunities offered to young Emirati graduates.

H.E. Hussain J. Al Nowais, Chairman of NPCC stated “The program reflects our commitment to create opportunities for young Emiratis to contribute to the Oil and Gas sector, an important and growing sector for the UAE economy. This partnership with ADVETI will enable us to impart necessary business and technical skills and they will be given job opportunities in the Company.

Mr. Aqeel A Madhi, CEO of NPCC stated “Emiratization is our highest priority, currently our total Emiratization statistic is at 23.5%, while 50% is at the senior management level.”

H.E. Hussain Al Hammadi, Director General of ACTVET stated “Our partnership with NPCC will help us in our efforts to train and provide this group of aspiring Emiratis with professional skills to meet the growing needs of the Oil and Gas sector. We are proud to offer training programs designed specifically for these young Emiratis that will help them developing their full potential and achieve success through practical training which is the basic foundation of the program. This will also open doors for outstanding students to complete their diploma in Engineering Maintenance at ADVETI, which has been designed according to the needs of the Company.
