Agthia Group Signs Sponsorship MoU with Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI)

H.E. Engineer Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi Chairman of Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Vocational Education & Training Institute (ADVETI) & Director General of Abu Dhabi Center for Technical & Vocational Education & Training (ACTVET) and H.E. Rashed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of “Agthia” Group signed today an agreement to sponsor a number of male and female students of Secondary Technical School (STS) – subsidiary to ADVETI – and provide the proper opportunities to them in the field of food industry.

The agreement was signed at ADVETI headquarters with the presence of H.E. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamesi, Deputy Director General of ACTVET, Dr. Addel Al Ameri, Managing Director of ADVETI, Eng. Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Senior Director, Support Services of ADVETI and Toufic El Chaar, Human Resource Director of Agthia Group.

H.E. Eng. Hussein Ibrahim Al Hammadi confirmed that the agreement meets the requirements of the economic and industrial rise in the United Arab Emirates, the rational leadership directives to fulfill the objectives of Emiratization policy and the implementation of sustainable development plans that are compatible with the Abu Dhabi vision 2030 and UAE strategy 2021.

It comes simultaneously with the announcement of the National Qualification Authority (NQA) for the first time in UAE, he added. Twelve technical and vocational qualifications have been accredited. They were developed and delivered by STS that are spread all over the cities and Emirates in UAE to be the pioneering wheel in this field. This reflects the extent of progress of their academic curricula in addition to granting their graduates work opportunities right after graduation and to continue their specialized university studies.

H.E. Rashed Mubarak Al Hajeri mentioned that this agreement comes within the framework of achieving the desired targets, expressing his willingness through this partnership to raise the number of Emirati cadres working in the Group.

H.E. added that “Agthia” Group delivered several programs in the field of developing employability or career skills of the current and future national cadres to contribute in supporting the Emiratization policy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. That is like the program of including the national talents within the Group. That program witnessed the graduation of 79 Emiratis and will be followed by more than 20 Emiratis in the coming months.

The Program works on training Emiratis on a large number of specializations starting from the financial affairs and ending with communications. Staff of distinguished performance shall be rewarded with full academic scholarships and get accredited training courses from “ADVETI”.

Dr. Addel Al Ameri, the Managing Director of ADVETI added that the Agreement shall enhance the knowledge of the students with logistic services and specialized engineering maintenance works in this field as well as contribute in the development and design of specialized academic subjects and curricula in food industry.
